All the Nostolgia
"As a child of the '90s, I was beyond excited to don the iconic Carmen Sandiego costume for a Halloween party. The nostalgia hit me hard as I slipped into the costume, but I have to admit I had some mixed feelings about the quality. First off, the coat's vibrant red color was a letdown. Instead of a rich red fabric, it felt more like a white fabric printed to look red, which took away some of the authenticity I was hoping for. Initially, I was disappointed because I expected something more substantial. However, I found that under black light, the outfit really popped, and I could still capture that adventurous spirit of Carmen. The hat arrived quite squished and never fully regained its shape, which was another slight disappointment. It lacked the structured look I was aiming for. Despite these issues, I still received plenty of compliments, and the costume definitely evoked a wave of nostalgia. It was fun to channel a character that played such a significant role in my childhood! I added one more additional prop, an inflatable globe to complete the outfit. In the end, while the quality didn’t quite meet my expectations, it was still a great costume for reliving those fond memories. If you're looking for something that brings back those classic vibes, this costume is worth considering!"
